"A Burden for Souls Dear Lord"

This is one of my favourite hymns from the 70s. Written by Bill Butterworth in his musical, "Make it Clear," this song remains a beautiful reminder about the purpose of the gospel.

A need to see this world as people dying each day
An urge to speak with them, to do more than just pray

A life of sharing the gospel with whomever I can
A need to take my eyes off myself, to see God’s plan

Make this burden real to me, that I may always care
